Jungle Night Tour (Group)

Description:

The Jungle Night Tour at Tapir Valley is an exhilarating experience. You never know what you may see, and you’ll never forget the sights and sensations of nightfall in a pristine, private rainforest. You will meet your passionate naturalist guide at sunset, and start to see and hear the forest around you transform. Nocturnal animals begin to stir and become active for their nightly activities, including hunting, eating and looking for mates. The symphony of frog songs near the wetland are incredible!

Your expert naturalist guide will lead you though open grasslands, a wetland and forest environment. The tour will allow you to hear the night sounds of these ecosystems and experience nature in all of its glory. Your vision will become accustomed to being in the dark and you, too, will start to be able to spot even the smallest creatures in the forest.

You will see many insects, amphibians and mammals which may be difficult to spot during the day. You may see frogs, snakes, spiders, sleeping birds, kinkajous and others animals. And while sightings of the endangered Baird’s tapir are rare, the animal is nocturnal, and finding evidence of presence is especially thrilling at night when you know it’s active in the forest, just as you are.
